Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an Operations Training Supervisor to train, develop and supervise new Operations personnel using company and local training programs, preparing hires for a career in Operations and tracking individual performance.

You will work with OpCo leadership to address current and future workforce training needs, coordinate onboarding with Warehouse and Transportation to ensure new hires are fully prepared for high performance, and participate in hiring decisions based on

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Required Experience: 1 - 3 Years in Operations Leadership, training new hires and collaborating with operations training programs in foodservice distribution or supply chain.
• Must possess excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Preferred Education: Bachelors, Business management, Operations or related area.
• Preferred Experience: 3 - 5 Years in developing and facilitating foodservice operations training programs – Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Works with OpCo leadership to address the current and future workforce training needs of the company.
• Coordinate training and onboarding process with Warehouse and Transportation departments to ensure new hires are fully prepared for high performance for their respective positions.
• Provides input into hiring and termination decisions based on performance during the training period, and maintains written performance reviews of all trainees as prescribed in the PFG Operations Training Manual.
• Plan, schedule and facilitate PFG New Hire Training program.
• Serve as an associate advocate during the 30/60/90 days of hire to boost job satisfaction, engagement and productivity.
• Conduct train-the-trainer workshops where applicable to enhance the bench strength for trainers.
• Work with safety department on safety onboarding and ongoing training processes to ensure safety compliance standards are met in the training process.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
