Job summary

UNFI (United Natural Foods, Inc.) is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Howell Township, NJ, to supervise drivers and staff, implement schedules, and maintain efficient daily operations within the Transportation Department.

The role requires coordinating changes, communicating with customers and internal partners, and ensuring departmental functions run smoothly while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• CDL A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily driver and staff scheduling to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor driver departure times and report performance metrics to management.
• Share on‑call duties within the Transportation Department to address urgent issues.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with drivers and notify customers of delays or incidents.
• Provide backup support to the Transportation Manager, including data entry and quality checks.
• Serve as a central communication hub for schedule changes and new account services across departments.
