Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is hiring a Transportation Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the Transportation Department. You will supervise drivers and staff, implement schedules, manage departures, and maintain clear communication with customers and internal partners.

You will ensure regulatory compliance with DOT rules, coordinate delivery timelines, and provide backup support to the Transportation Manager while supporting operational efficiency and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of DOT regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and staff to maximize workforce effectiveness and ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor driver departure times and report to management.
• Share on-call responsibilities within the Transportation Department.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with drivers and notify customers of delays or issues.
• Provide backup support to the Transportation Manager, including log data entry and quality checks.
