Job summary

UNFI in Aurora, CO is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to assist management in supervising drivers and staff of the Transportation Department. You will implement schedules, departure times and daily functions, and coordinate changes with customers as needed.

Responsibilities include routing, timing delivery schedules with Warehouse, and enforcing DOT regulations while maintaining strong communication with internal teams. Prior experience and/or CDL Class A is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience and/or formal training or education in transportation
• Demonstrated ability to supervise drivers and staff
• Knowledge of applicable government regulations for transportation

Responsibilities

• Routes and schedules loads for distribution to customers.
• Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure timing for deliveries.
• Assign drivers to loads while ensuring compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Maintain good relations with store management via calls and visits.
• Communicate transportation changes to customers and internal teams.
• Ensure drivers comply with company, federal, state and local laws.
• Process weekly/monthly DOT mileage reports.
• Perform driver road testing, training and qualifications.
• Support other duties as assigned.
