Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee a team of drivers and ensure safe, timely deliveries.

You will apply routing systems and dispatch procedures, review logs for DOT compliance, and coordinate with other distribution departments for on-time results. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of transportation management experience in food distribution, and familiarity with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of transportation management experience in food distribution.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements.
• AS/400 and truck routing software experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision for a group of assigned drivers.
• Ensure safe, timely, and accurate deliveries with routing and dispatch procedures.
• Review driver logs, hours of service, and DOT compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with other distribution center departments; handle special projects.
