Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDL preferred.
• CDL certification and knowledge of DOT/safety regulations required.
• 2-4 years in transportation with fleet management systems experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred; ability to train staff and coach drivers.

Responsibilities

• Supervises drivers, including staffing, coaching, and scheduling; rides with drivers for training/evaluation.
• Assists in day-to-day administration of transportation functions and payroll review.
• Ensures safe vehicle operations, proper use of safety equipment, and adherence to DOT regulations.
• Tracks driver information: licenses, tickets, accidents, and safety-related data.
• Ensures accurate completion of delivery and driver paperwork (invoices, logs, DVIR, inspections).
• Maintains trucks, tractors, and trailers through post-trip inspections.
• Works with managers to minimize costs and optimize routing.
