Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead the driver team, ensure safe, timely deliveries, and support DOT compliance. You will oversee staffing, training, and coordination with the Transportation/Operations Manager to optimize routes and reduce costs.

Responsibilities include reviewing logs, maintaining paperwork, monitoring vehicle safety, and supervising daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along with experience in operation of computerized fleet management systems.
• CDL Certified.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Assists Transportation/Operations Manager with overall day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions, including driver payroll, logs, and expense reports.
• Monitors vehicle safety, use of safety equipment, and safe lifting and product handling practices.
• Coordinates tracking of license status, tickets, accidents and risk data.
• Ensures completion of delivery and driver-related paperwork (invoices, DVIR, DOT logs, etc.).
• Maintains trucks, tractors and trailers through post-trip inspections.
• Collaborates to minimize operating expenses and optimize routes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
