Performance Food Group seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee drivers at the Operating Company, ensuring safe, timely deliveries and DOT compliance. You will supervise staff, train drivers, and monitor logs and paperwork while coordinating with management on daily transportation activities.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and cost-effective routing within a large food distribution network, with opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along with experience in operation of computerized fleet management systems.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates to include staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Assists Transportation/Operations Manager with day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions, including payroll, logs, and expense reports.
• Ensures drivers fulfill duties safely by monitoring vehicle safety, ramps, belts, lifting, and product handling.
• Coordinates tracking of license status, tickets and accidents; maintains driver data.
• Ensures delivery paperwork and DVIRs are completed and filed.
• Maintains trucks and trailers through post-trip inspections and upkeep.
• Helps minimize operating expenses and optimize routing for deliveries.
