Job summary

Stantec is seeking a transportation Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience in design of transportation structures including highway, transit and rail. You will assist senior engineers by developing design drawings, calculations and specifications for infrastructure projects in California.

Ideal candidates are Registered Professional Engineers in California, proficient with SAP2000, CSiBridge or Midas Civil, and have BIM experience with Autodesk or Bentley.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 5+ years’ experience in engineering design and design check.
• Registered Professional Engineer in California.
• Autodesk and Bentley BIM experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Uses knowledge of relevant structural engineering for transportation structures.
• Preparing design drawings, calculations, and details for various transportation projects.
• Design of new transportation structures and rehabilitation of existing structures with coordination with other disciplines.
• Review of shop drawings, calculations by other engineers, site visits to verify conditions, respond to RFIs, oversee testing and monitoring programs.
• Assist with client coordination including deliveries, submittals, meetings, reviews etc.
