Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of new transportation structures, including highway, transit, and rail. The role involves assisting senior engineers with design drawings, calculations, and specifications for projects in California, with opportunities to work on waterfront, buried, and rehabilitation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 5+ years' experience in transportation structure design.
• Professional Engineer license in CA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses knowledge of relevant structural engineering for transportation structures.
• Preparing design drawings, calculations, and details for various transportation projects.
• Design of new transportation structures and rehabilitation of existing transportation structures with close coordination with other disciplines.
• Review of shop drawings produced by fabricators and detailers, calculations performed by other engineers, coordinate with design team, site visits to address site issues and verify existing conditions, respond to request for information, oversee testing and monitoring programs.
• Assist with client coordination including coordinating deliveries, submittals, meeting, review comments etc. Clients include public agencies and private clients.
• Coordinating with other structural staff design departments and clients to complete projects to a high standard.
