Job summary

Stantec is seeking a transportation structural engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in design of new transportation structures focusing on highway, transit and rail structures in California. Experience with buried, underground and waterfront structures is a plus.

The role involves assisting senior engineers with design drawings, calculations and specifications for infrastructure projects in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; Master's a plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in engineering design and design check.
• Autodesk and Bentley BIM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of structural engineering for transportation structures.
• Prepare design drawings, calculations and details for transportation projects.
• Design new transportation structures and rehabilitation of existing structures with coordination with other disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and calculations; address site issues and verify conditions.
