Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Title: Transportation Specialist/ Customer Service Representative

Location: Hagerstown, MD

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 /hr. and 1.5x for overtime

Duration: 12 month contract

Shift 1: 6am - 2:30pm; Monday – Friday

Shift 2: 3pm - 11:30pm; Monday – Friday

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining workflow by assisting managers and supervisors with warehouse duties, including inventory management, creating packaging slips and reports, and fulfilling customer orders. This role offers growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding global company.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Coordinating workload allocation among warehouse staff, material handlers, and drivers
2. Preparing work orders; troubleshooting and resolving order discrepancies
3. Assigning and releasing orders for loading and unloading
4. Researching and allocating inventory for orders
5. Entering data for inbound and outbound freight into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and creating bills of lading (BOLs)
6. Maintaining and generating reports
7. Processing, auditing, and filing various documentation

Required skills and experience:

• At least 1 year of customer service, routing, or dispatching experience
• Minimum 6 months of warehouse experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Effective communication skills with carriers, customers, employees, and management
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible schedule availability as needed
