Job Details

Under the general direction of the Corporate Transportation Director, this role is responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of existing transportation processes and customer delivery across all transportation aspects, including parcel, LTL, FTL, and carrier deliveries at local, regional, and national levels. The goal is to ensure carrier performance aligns with Cencora objectives. The role involves recommending and contributing to strategies to reduce costs and supporting transportation initiatives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Compile data from various systems such as CSP, EEM, SAP, and others to support transportation analysis.
2. Evaluate and improve business processes related to transportation to reduce costs and enhance effectiveness.
3. Assess delivery accuracy within the transportation network and recommend improvements.
4. Develop transportation databases tailored to business needs.
5. Analyze and report on transportation KPIs regularly.
6. Plan and forecast FTL and LTL shipments, selecting optimal carriers and modes.
7. Manage contracts, depot databases, and carrier compliance.
8. Prepare data and requirements for RFPs and carrier conversions.
9. Create and manage project plans for transportation initiatives.
10. Monitor vendor compliance and develop solutions for distribution challenges.
11. Train staff on new processes and solutions.
12. Collaborate with carriers and managers to improve performance.
13. Perform rate and service analysis for small packages and LTL shipments weekly.
14. Provide data for quarterly business reviews and improve service reporting.
15. Maintain and update transportation cost and pricing data.
16. Identify shipment consolidation opportunities and develop process documents.
17. Assist with onboarding new carriers and technology partners.
18. Analyze market pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
19. Generate KPI metrics and ensure data integrity across systems.
20. Monitor daily shipments and resolve delivery issues with partners.
21. Develop SOPs for carrier compliance and audit invoices for payment.
22. Manage issues related to claims, payments, and delivery with partners.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• 2-5 years in transportation industry.
• Experience with courier and distribution environments, including small package, LTL, and TL.
• Experience in preparing/respond to RFPs and RFQs.
• Effective communication skills across organizational levels.
• Ability to interpret technical, financial, and legal documents.

Skills and Ability Requirements:

• Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of ABC policies, services, and products.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Experience with freight audit processes and database management in Access.
