Position Summary

• The Transportation Specialist provides companionship and transportation services for clients to travel to appointments or errands.
• Services include accompanying patients, assisting in and out of vehicles, ensuring safety outside residences, and following driving regulations.
• Must use own vehicle accessible to elderly or clients with impairments requiring assistance.
• Functions under Johns Hopkins Potomac Home Support policies and procedures.

Shift

PRN / On-call, based on department needs. Day shift typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Location

Potomac Region

Education & Experience

• Associates Degree or one year experience working with seniors.
• Coursework in social work, activities/recreational coordination in senior facilities, or community health professions is a plus.
• Experience with home care and older adults preferred.

Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
• Clean driving record
• Vehicle conducive to passenger needing minimal assistance

Salary: $20.00/hour. Compensation based on experience and role scope.
