Job summary

The role serves as the internal owner for carrier compliance, safety, insurance coordination, and customer compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation safety, DOT compliance, transportation risk, carrier compliance, or related experience.
• Experience with DOT/FMCSA regulations in asset-based motor carrier environments.
• Experience with carrier onboarding, qualification, insurance verification, and ongoing monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own transportation risk and compliance strategy and multi-year technology roadmap for brokerage entities.
• Oversee carrier onboarding, qualification, documentation, and ongoing monitoring.
• Maintain carrier qualification standards including operating authority, insurance, safety history, and customer requirements.
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained; manage approvals and exceptions.
• Monitor changes to carrier authority, safety, insurance, and compliance; oversee audits and training.
• Oversee DOT and FMCSA compliance for asset-based entities; manage Driver Qualification Files and safety programs.
• Coordinate insurance programs, renewals, and claims management with brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Review customer contracts and requirements from risk/compliance perspective; maintain centralized records.
• Develop and maintain compliant SOPs; report through leadership on safety, risk, and claims.
