Job summary

KLFM is seeking a Manager, Transportation Risk & Compliance to oversee carrier onboarding, safety, and regulatory compliance across the organization’s transportation operations. This role partners with Operations, Carrier Sales, Fleet Operations, HR, and leadership to translate requirements into practical procedures.

The successful candidate will own the insurance program, manage audits, and drive risk reduction initiatives while maintaining documentation and training for functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in transportation safety, DOT compliance, or related risk roles.
• Experience in asset-based motor carrier or brokerage environments.
• Experience with driver qualification files, CSA/SMS, Hours of Service, ELD, and insurance programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee carrier compliance onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
• Manage DOT/FMCSA compliance and fleet safety programs.
• Coordinate insurance programs, renewals, and claims management.
• Develop compliance SOPs and conduct internal audits.
• Communicate risk and compliance metrics to leadership.
