Job summary

Bowman seeks a Transportation Assistant Project Manager in Boston, MA to apply administration, technical and management techniques for transportation and infrastructure projects. You will develop sustainable transportation solutions, manage budgets, and advance safety and livability in communities.

You will lead project staff, coordinate with senior leaders, and mentor junior engineers while supporting client relationships and marketing efforts for new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Eight+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably transportation engineering.
• An EIT registration is required, or nine+ years of relevant experience; PE designation preferred.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD; knowledge of DOT permitting and standards.
• Experience with construction plans, QA/QC, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise project staff to ensure high professional standards.
• Coordinate with senior management on objectives, budgets and schedules.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
