Job summary

CDM Smith in the Chicago area is seeking a highly qualified Transportation Program Manager with a transportation/infrastructure background. You will lead large-scale programs spanning highways, bridges, rail, and transit, coordinating with state and local agencies to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois (or eligible) with 15+ years of related experience and strong leadership in complex projects and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15 years of related experience preferred.
• Domestic/international travel may be required; travel frequency varies by project.
• Equivalent extra directly related experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois or eligible for reciprocity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee large transportation programs from planning through design, construction and closeout.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, state agencies, and contractors to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, risk management, and quality assurance for complex programs.
• Develop proposals, respond to RFPs, and participate in client presentations and interviews.
