Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Transportation Program Manager with a transportation/infrastructure background to support growing Midwest operations. The ideal candidate is a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois (or eligible for licensure through reciprocity) with strong civil/structural engineering expertise and the ability to lead complex programs with state/local agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15 years of related experience preferred.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required depending on duties.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Registered professional engineer in Illinois or eligibility for reciprocity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transportation and infrastructure programs from planning through closeout.
• Serve as primary liaison between clients, agencies, contractors, and teams.
• Manage program scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and risk with QA oversight.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff; pursue improvements.
