Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a highly qualified Transportation Program Manager to support our growing Midwest operations. The ideal candidate is a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois (or eligible by reciprocity) with a strong civil/structural background to lead complex transportation programs with state and local agencies.

The role requires leadership from planning through design, construction and closeout, managing highways, bridges, rail and transit projects.

Qualifications

• Governance practices and organization design principles.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interpret highly complex technical and business materials.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 15 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical oversight for large transportation programs from planning to closeout.
• Lead programs involving highways, bridges, rail, transit and other public infrastructure.
• Collaborate with state and local agencies and clients to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks and quality assurance; report to clients and leadership.
• Develop technical reports, proposals, contracts and project documentation; support business development.
