Job summary
Toole Design Group in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced transportation professional to lead the integrated transportation engineering and multimodal planning practice. This leadership role combines practice direction with active project delivery across a growing portfolio.
You'll mentor engineers and planners, drive business development, shape technical direction, and maintain a strong client network while guiding major multimodal projects that improve safety and equity in urban streets.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of transportation engineering or multimodal planning experience.
- PE preferred; PTOE and/or AICP credentials are a plus.
- Experience leading integrated teams and growing a transportation practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development and practice planning to meet annual growth targets.
- Ensure financial health through effective project delivery and staff development.
- Recruit and mentor staff to build high-performing teams.
- Guide transportation planning and engineering projects, including multimodal street design and safety analyses.
- Promote training, innovation, and quality control across the practice.
