Job summary

Toole Design Group in Columbus, OH seeks a Practice Lead to merge integrated transportation engineering with multimodal planning, mentoring a team of engineers and planners, guiding business development and technical direction.

You’ll report to Engineering Director, influence major projects, strengthen client relationships, recruit talent, and advance training and quality control while delivering safe, equitable street design and placemaking.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of success leading transportation engineering and multimodal planning projects.
• Experience building and leading integrated teams, programs, and practices.
• PE preferred; PTOE and/or AICP credentials are a plus.
• Ability to guide business development and strategic direction for a practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and practice growth with regional leadership.
• Mentor engineers and planners to strengthen client relationships.
• Shape the firm's technical direction and oversee major projects.
• Collaborate with leaders to advance practice priorities.
• Recruit and advise on hiring for local and firmwide growth.
• Advance training and quality control to keep work at the forefront.
