Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong interest or knowledge in transportation planning/engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A passion for partnering with and serving the local communities.
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program (various degrees considered).
• Proficiency in Excel, ArcGIS, design/drafting or travel demand modeling tools, or related software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze/solve complex transportation planning or engineering problems.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including in community engagement settings.
• Use software effectively and make timely, informed recommendations.
• Work on diverse projects (traffic operations, bicycle/pedestrian plans, freight, travel demand modeling).
• Learn and adopt new tools and technologies while maintaining professional judgment.
