J.B. Hunt Transportation Manager II in Dublin, OH oversees direct driver management, ensuring safe, on-time freight service and optimal load planning.

The role oversees driver compliance, scheduling across day, night and weekend shifts, and coordinates with internal teams and customers to resolve issues. You will build relationships with drivers and safety staff, train personnel, analyze fleet operations, and generate performance reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of related experience.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Travel to account and customer locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover.
• Assist with fleet optimization projects to improve profitability.
• Train drivers and employees on internal and customer systems.
• Analyze fleet operations, KPI reporting, and financial analysis.
• Plan loads, route, and monitor freight movement to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate maintenance and preventive services for equipment.
• Handle payroll, driver counseling, invoicing, and reporting.
