Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Transportation leader responsible for achieving safety, service, and cost targets across the transportation department. You will coach Transportation Managers, oversee drivers, and build high-performing teams to ensure reliable deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least five years in transportation supervision, strong regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in transportation/delivery supervision.
• Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in Transportation.
• Oversee and develop Transportation Managers through coaching and policy training.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation personnel; drive engagement and retention.
• Build high-performing teams by staffing, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Monitor production goals; analyze issues and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure optimum delivery reliability and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Identify waste and implement process improvements for safety and efficiency.
• Analyze daily performance data and report to VP Operations.
• In union facilities, assist with interpreting collective bargaining provisions and related processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
