Job summary

Leesel Transportation Corp. is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to manage workflow across the operations department in the New York City area. The role focuses on improving productivity and efficiency, implementing policies, and building a positive company culture.

You will oversee daily operations, coordinate with drivers, attendants, and staff, and assist in onboarding while ensuring adherence to procedures and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Two years of transportation management experience.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations functions through members of the operations team, drivers, bus attendants, and other personnel as necessary.
• Assist the business and operations manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating functions relating to the operation of the business.
• Maintain an updated client, customer, contractor, and supplier management system.
• Monitor expenses and budget in line with the finance and accounting department.
• Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements in any aspects relating to increased performance.
• Help with the onboarding process including screen and interviewing candidates.
• Train new hires as necessary and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Keep up to date with the current market trends and industry forecasts.
• Coordinates with different departments to achieve optimal work production across the board.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
