Job summary

DO & CO AG in New York seeks a Transportation Supervisor to lead the transportation, dispatch, and dock operations in a fast-paced, flight‑driven environment. You will manage drivers, dispatchers, and dock staff to ensure safe, on‑time service and optimize staffing and overtime while upholding safety standards.

The role requires strong decision-making, frontline leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of transportation, dispatch, logistics, or operations leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience supervising large teams of drivers, dispatchers, dock personnel or similar staff.
• Working knowledge of transportation operations, dispatch coordination, ramp safety, DOT requirements, and fleet compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation, dispatch, dock, ramp, and logistics activities to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time flight service.
• Monitor active flights and real-time operations, identify at-risk departures, and initiate corrective actions for delays or disruptions.
• Ensure drivers have confirmed flight assignments and complete dispatch entries before departure.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, guides, dock personnel, airline reps, and internal teams to maintain service quality and schedules.
• Lead shift briefings, communicate priorities, and ensure staff understand roles and safety expectations.
• Provide hands-on supervision during peak periods and redistribute resources to address bottlenecks and shortages.
