Sea Breeze Food Service, Inc. in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee fleet logistics, supervise drivers, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and manage end-of-shift paperwork.

The role involves planning and coordinating transportation operations, monitoring fleet performance, vehicle maintenance, and implementing cost-saving strategies while maintaining accurate shipment and inspection records.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance requirements.
• Experience managing a fleet in food service (preferred).
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• CDL class A or Class B with Air Brake endorsement for 3+ years.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and supervise drivers and transportation staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Ensure all transportation operations are in compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations (DOT, safety standards, etc.)
• Monitor fleet performance metrics, maintenance schedules, and fuel usage and implement improvements as needed
• Manage the fleet of vehicles and ensure that they are properly maintained
• Develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, vehicle inspections, and driver logs
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to streamline processes and ensuring transportation needs are met
• Handle transportation-related issues, delays, or emergencies proactively
• Plan, direct, and coordinate transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
• Maintain all transportation-related documentation to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date
• Check in drivers at the end of their shifts to ensure all paperwork is accounted for and/or all payments collected based off customer terms
