Job summary

Paper Transport seeks a Fleet Manager for the Jacksonville, Florida office. You will oversee planning and driver management for a medium-sized fleet, driving efficiency, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.

You will supervise drivers, optimize routes, manage DOT/HOS compliance, and partner with customers to maintain performance and asset utilization. Strong leadership and Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of transportation experience preferred.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to navigate through multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of drivers, routes, and service to ensure quality customer service and safety.
• Build strong relationships with the driver team through integrity and accountability.
• Maintain high asset utilization to ensure profitability.
• Manage freight within HOS and DOT regulations.
• Approve driver pay and BOL submission.
• Provide solutions to driver needs and issues.
• Coach the driver team to success and safety compliance.
• Prepare and maintain driver schedules ensuring adequate staffing and hours.
• Build and maintain strong connections with customers.
