Job summary

West Virginia’s Transportation Department Training Academy in Upshur County seeks an experienced Transportation Business Operations Assistant Senior. This exempt, at-will role oversees administrative services, supervising office staff and coordinating fiscal, personnel, payroll, and procurement activities.

You will develop policies to resolve operational problems, improve services, and navigate interactions with state and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time or equivalent paid experience in advanced clerical duties and/or administrative services in accounting, budgeting, project monitoring and reporting, personnel, or procurement and property.
• Substitution: coursework from a regionally accredited college or university, related business school, or vocational training may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides essential administrative support including fiscal, personnel, payroll, and procurement functions.
