Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a unionized CDL-A driver group and drive safe, cost-efficient shipments to customers and distribution centers.

You will coach and develop drivers, ensure DOT compliance, and align the team with safety, service, and profitability while managing schedules and daily operations.

This role requires at least 3 years of leadership in transportation or warehouse distribution and preference for active CDL-A license; college degree is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
Experience as a driver a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead a safety-first Transportation team to ensure safe, on-time shipments.
Coach drivers and associates; train on policy, procedures, safety.
Plan shifts and drive DOT-compliant operations.
Hire, review performance, and discipline as needed.
Ensure cost-efficient and legal transportation practices.
