Job summary

US Foods, a leading food distribution company, is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a team of drivers and transportation staff to ensure safe, on-time and compliant daily outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers.

The role emphasizes coaching drivers, maintaining DOT compliance, and building high-performing teams while prioritizing safety and cost control. Travel may be required to support operations and cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA and regulatory requirements; DOT knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to create a safety-first culture in the Transportation department.
• Oversee and develop drivers and transportation associates through coaching and policy training.
• Discuss performance with senior managers and create improvement plans.
• Foster upward communication and motivate the team to meet department goals.
