Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee dedicated fleet operations with full P&L responsibility and strategic oversight to exceed customer expectations. This role will drive revenue growth and improve service levels across the operation.

You will lead a team of supervisors, coordinators, clerks, spotters and drivers, partner with customers, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while optimizing performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5+ years’ overall experience in supply chain.
• Experience with applications such as TMW and AS400 is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of transportation / mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and willingness to certify as needed.
• Excellent talent management, verbal and written communication skills.
• On-call availability for alarm systems or issues after hours.
• Ability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of facilities and staff including supervisors, coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Interacts with customers to review performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Shapes project requirements and utilizes resources to eliminate process problems.
• Plans long-term labor needs based on sales forecasts and historical data.
• Develops strategic plans for efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Oversees asset management, delivery/logistics, compliance, and productivity improvements.
• Ensures customer pickup/delivery requirements meet standards.
• Audits internal and external SOPs for compliance.
• Sources opportunities to grow revenue with dedicated and non-dedicated customers.
