Job summary

NFI is seeking a Transportation Manager in the Islandia area to lead dedicated fleet operations and assume full P&L responsibility. You will shape strategies, manage daily operations, and drive continuous improvement for on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, analytics, and industry knowledge. Base salary ranges from $94,945.50 to $115,000 with annual bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with logistics/supply chain roles preferred.
• Experience with safety/compliance regulations (OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA) a plus.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of facilities and staff including supervisors, coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Accountable for interaction with customer on ongoing basis regarding reviews and improvements.
• Develops and manages a strategic project plan with requirements, deliverables, and resources.
• Plans long-term labor needs based on sales, forecasts and historical data.
• Oversees asset management, delivery/logistics, compliance, productivity, and project management.
• Drives revenue growth with dedicated and non-dedicated customers.
• Audits billing activity for accuracy and approves purchase orders.
