Job summary

NFI is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to oversee daily freight loading/unloading, supervise staff, and coordinate with terminal leadership to meet safety and cost standards.

You will partner with the Transportation Manager to optimize asset utilization, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive productivity while maintaining strong customer service and incident-free operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a supply chain environment.
• Experience with TMW and PeopleNet.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and willingness to certify.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of facilities and staff including supervisors, coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Develops strategic plans with Transportation Manager to ensure efficient operations and cost control.
• Oversees asset management, logistics, regulatory compliance, and productivity improvements.
• Ensures customer pick-up and delivery requirements meet standards.
• Implements safety programs and ensures equipment is used efficiently.
