Job summary

US Foods in Boca Raton, FL seeks a Sr. Manager, Transportation to lead a safety-first, cost-conscious operation delivering outbound shipments accurately and on time to customers and distribution centers.

You will coach transportation managers and drivers, develop leaders, ensure DOT/OSHA compliance, and implement process improvements to boost reliability and cost efficiency. Base pay ranges from $80,000 to $130,000 with potential annual incentive; benefits vary by location.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of experience in transportation/delivery supervision.
Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
Ability to interpret DOT, inventory control, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Responsibilities

Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in the Transportation department.
Oversee and develop Transportation Managers through coaching and policy training.
Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation personnel; drive engagement and retention.
Build high-performing teams by reviewing staffing and hiring; coach to meet targets.
Monitor production goals; ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction; comply with DOT regulations.
Identify process improvements and cost-reduction strategies aligned with business objectives.
