Job summary

Greco and Sons, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to support the manager in supervising delivery and backhaul activities. The role includes training transportation staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting safety within the department.

The candidate will oversee daily operations, adherence to SOPs, and coordination with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve delivery issues. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; or equivalent education/experience.
• 2-4 years of transportation experience and/or training.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Certificate of DOT regulations training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of transportation associates; ensure SOPs, food safety standards, and route adherence.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and maintain accurate electronic logs.
• Oversee labor hours and consumable supplies within budget; prepare work schedules.
• Assist with training of new associates and cross-training of existing staff.
• Direct proper selection and utilization of company assets to support delivery operations.
