Job summary

The West Virginia Division of Highways seeks an HR Generalist 1 to join the District Eight HQ HR team in Randolph County (Elkins, WV). This role will lead district recruitment, coordinate training programs, and guide onboarding experiences for new hires.

You will also maintain employee records, support the administration of drug and alcohol testing, and cross-train across HR to build broad expertise for career growth. Travel and a valid driver’s license may be required.

The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) is seeking a motivated HR Generalist 1 to join our human resources team at District Eight Headquarters in Randolph County (Elkins, WV). Designed as a key launchpad for career advancement, this role allows you to manage district recruitment efforts, coordinate district-wide training programs, and facilitate impactful on-boarding and orientation experiences for new hires. You will also play an essential role in maintaining accurate employee records and supporting the administration of our drug and alcohol testing program. TRAINING/EDUCATION
