Job summary

Tighe & Bond, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join the Transportation Building Line in Westwood, MA or Woburn, MA.

You will contribute to delivering infrastructure projects across the Northeast and gain exposure to design, analysis, and construction processes in a collaborative, hybrid environment. You’ll work with seasoned engineers on roadways, bridges, and multimodal systems, applying CAD tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation, and you’ll gain hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related degree
• Coursework or experience related to roadway design or traffic studies or other related coursework and experience
• Strong interest in transportation engineering, roadway design, or traffic analysis
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness

Responsibilities

• Assist in roadway and intersection design, including traffic control and signage
• Help prepare construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimate
• Participate in field visits and construction observations
• Use design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation to support plan development
