Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Engineer to lead and contribute to the design of urban and rural roadway projects. You will supervise CAD Designers and collaborate with Project Managers to deliver detailed highway designs from feasibility through construction.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, a PE license, and hands-on experience with Bentley ConceptStation, Open Roads Designer, InfraWorks and Civil3D, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and PE license preferred/required by location.
• Experience in roadway engineering design across urban and rural interchanges.
• Proficiency with CAD software for highways and roads projects.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities for client interaction and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects under PM guidance.
• Oversee CAD Designers and other EITs as needed.
• Prepare detailed roadway/highway designs and concept alignments.
• Contribute to site feasibility analyses, final design, and construction phases.
• Support project management duties and client interactions.
