Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Engineer to design urban and rural roadway projects, under a Project Manager. You will supervise CAD Designers, prepare detailed highway designs, and support activities from feasibility to construction while engaging with clients.

Required is a Bachelor's degree, a PE license, and proven roadway design experience with Bentley/Autodesk CAD tools; excellent communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional engineer license recognized by the licensing board for the location.
• Experience in roadway engineering design across urban and rural settings.
• Hands-on experience with CAD software such as Bentley ConceptStation, Open Roads Designer, InfraWorks and Civil3D.
• MS Office knowledge and strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a technical role on the engineering development of highway projects under a Project Manager.
• Oversee CAD Designers and coordinate with EITs as needed.
• Prepare detailed roadway and highway designs and participate through construction.
• Engage with clients and assume project management duties when required.
