Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Highway/Roads Engineer in Wisconsin to contribute to urban and rural roadway design under project leadership. You will oversee CAD Designers and junior staff while delivering detailed engineering plans for transportation projects.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years of roadway design experience, proficiency in Bentley/OpenRoads/Civil3D tools, and a PE/P.Eng license. This role supports HDR's mission to build safer, smarter transportation networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with strong highway/roadway design background.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or P.Eng license recognized by local licensing board.
• Hands-on experience with highways CAD software such as Bentley ConceptStation, OpenRoads Designer, InfraWorks, Civil3D.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in roadway engineering design.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a technical role under the Project Manager on engineering development of urban and rural highway projects.
• Oversee the work of CAD Designers and junior staff.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway projects.
• Grow as a leader by mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
