Job summary

Consor is seeking a Drainage Design Engineer to apply hydrologic and hydraulic principles to planning, analysis, and design of drainage infrastructure for transportation projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and senior engineers to develop stormwater solutions, including storm sewers, culverts, and detention facilities.

The role involves drainage analyses, calculations, construction plans, and reports, with exposure to federal, state, and local standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of transportation drainage experience with DOT projects.
• PE license is required.
• Proficiency in MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Hybrid office/field work with outdoor exposure as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drainage design plans and calculations for transportation projects.
• Apply drainage standards to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and sizing for stormwater systems.
• Use modeling software to evaluate performance and flood risk.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders on drainage requirements.
• Support plan development, reviews, and field inquiries.
