Job summary

Consor seeks a Drainage Design Engineer to apply hydrologic and hydraulic principles to transportation drainage projects such as storm sewers, culverts, and detention facilities. You will prepare plans, calculations, and reports, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5-10 years of transportation drainage experience with TxDOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D software.
• Proposal writing/marketing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drainage design plans, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and technical reports for transportation projects.
• Apply drainage design standards and agency guidelines for compliance and constructability.
• Perform analyses, storm sewer and culvert sizing, drainage modeling, and cost estimates.
• Utilize modeling software to evaluate system performance and flood risk.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing agencies to integrate drainage requirements.
• Assist with QA reviews and address drainage-related comments during plan development.
