Job summary

Consor is seeking a Drainage Design Engineer to apply hydrologic and hydraulic principles to planning and design of drainage infrastructure for transportation projects in Texas. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop calculations, and prepare construction plans and technical reports to meet agency standards.

With 5–10 years of TxDOT drainage experience and a PE license, you will analyze flood risks and environmental requirements while using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• PE license required or pending licensure in Texas preferred.
• 5–10 years of transportation drainage experience with TxDOT projects where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drainage design plans, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and technical reports for transportation projects.
• Apply drainage design standards, criteria, and agency guidelines for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, sizing, modeling, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs.
• Use hydraulic modeling software to evaluate drainage performance and flood risk.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing agencies to integrate drainage requirements.
• Provide QA/QC support during plan development and field inquiries.
