Job summary

Gate Gourmet is seeking motivated administrative support personnel to serve as the primary administrative contact for our major client’s operations in Newark, NJ. The role involves data analysis, driver coordination, and quality assurance to ensure meals and coolers meet client specifications.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $28 and requires at least a HS diploma with 2+ years of office/warehouse experience. Some shifts may rotate between day and night to support operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of general work experience in an office or warehouse facility.
• 1 year of experience directing the work of others.
• 1-2 years of shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Must be able to drive on the ramp (21+ driver's license).
• Able to multi-task in a hectic environment.
• Detail oriented and able to keep calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from custom computer screens and prepare driver run sheets for each flight.
• Assign Drivers to gates and flights.
• Serve as the quality assurance specialist to ensure contents meet customer specifications.
• Monitor driver's kitchen departure time.
• Track all flight, gate, meal order and other changes in flights.
• Back up supervisor on ramp by relaying changes and directing workload.
• Ensure run sheets and times meet customer specifications.
• Log customer calls and work to resolve issues.
