Job summary

Gate Gourmet is seeking motivated individuals to serve as the unit’s primary representative in the airport tower for major customer operations, handling gate changes, aircraft swaps and delays. The role requires analyzing data, coordinating with dispatch and catering teams, and ensuring on-time flight service.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer service capacity.
• 1 year experience directing the work of others.
• Experience working in the airline industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from custom screens and communicate airline changes to dispatch and catering teams.
• Monitor airline arrival and departure times and ensure catering teams complete flights as assigned.
• Monitor drivers in kitchen and alert management when on-time departure is at risk and drivers are late.
• Monitor international strips via Prism camera and provide timely information to the SOC.
• Make operational decisions and communicate with transportation teams on the field.
• Partner with the Department Manager to represent the company in delay discussions and research delays.
• Track all flight, gate, meal order and other changes in flights.
• Serve as back-up supervisor on the ramp, relay flight changes and resolve customer problems.
• Check drivers’ run sheets for accuracy and compliance with customer specs.
• Answer and log customer calls and provide recommendations to resolve issues.
