Job summary

CRH Americas Materials is seeking a Transportation Director to lead the Virginia delivery operations and customer service teams. The role focuses on improving scheduling, coordinating with drivers and haulers, and ensuring reliable, safe service for customers.

You will partner with leaders across sales, operations, quality control, and logistics to optimize performance, drive process improvements, and maintain strong customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 5 years of experience in materials delivery, transportation, dispatch, logistics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by following safety policies and regulations.
• Lead, coach, and develop Customer Service Representatives and Dispatch team members.
• Oversee daily dispatch activities and ensure consistent service across the unit.
• Coordinate deliveries with drivers and third-party haulers to provide timely service.
• Plan delivery routes and assign haulers and drivers to scheduled deliveries.
• Prepare invoices, shipping documents, and related records accurately and on time.
