Fehr & Peers in Pasadena, CA seeks a Transportation Design Engineer to lead conceptual designs and PS&E for diverse transportation projects. You will collaborate with staff at all levels, perform field work, and coordinate with complete streets teams, engaging with clients and communities throughout the process.

Qualificações

• 3-8 years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or related major.
• Currently hold or plan to hold a PE license.
• Experience applying Caltrans, MUTCD, and AASHTO design standards on projects.
• Familiarity with signing, striping, and traffic signal plans.
• Safety countermeasure selection and design.
• Familiarity with mobility issues in transportation engineering.
• Experience leading proposals and nurturing client relationships.
• Interest in mentoring and training staff.

Responsabilidades

• Leading and managing tasks for engineering and planning studies.
• Performing field work, site review prior to design, and support during construction.
• Preparing conceptual designs that are accurate, feasible, and visually engaging.
• Preparing PS&E for transportation projects including complete streets and traffic signals.
• Managing direct client interaction and community engagement.
• Marketing and bringing in new projects via proposals and interviews.
• Mentoring colleagues and receiving mentorship from senior staff.
• Learning and adopting new tools and technologies while maintaining professional judgment.
