Job summary

Fehr & Peers is seeking an Experienced Complete Streets Designer/Civil Engineer in Los Angeles to lead evaluation and design of transportation solutions with emphasis on Safe Systems and Complete Streets. You will develop concept designs, construction documents, and coordinate with planners, engineers, and clients.

Responsibilities include PS&E development, client relationship building, mentoring staff, and overseeing multi-disciplinary traffic projects while applying Caltrans/NACTO/ AASHTO

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation, civil or related major (urban planning, geography, math, economics).
• 5–12 years of experience in transportation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PS&E for transportation projects including bikeways, bus improvements, signals, lighting.
• Market and bring in new projects by building client relationships and proposals.
• Mentor and train colleagues; receive mentorship from senior staff.
• Develop scopes of work and fees for multi-disciplinary traffic projects.
• Manage direct client interaction and community engagement.
• Lead design tasks for transportation engineering and planning studies.
